Immediate update

Is this what bloggers are gonna rave about next? Doilies linked on dresses. No,no, no. I just saw this on Susie Bubble's blog who is no question fantastic. I can't get down with this. Or the recent spring of the return of the 50s prep that is slowly creeping in. I am crossing my fingers that none of this will get too crazy or too popular.

ONE MORE RANT

BMD= BIG MODEL DEAL
There is truly something happening in the world of fashion that I do not like. I definitely don't consider myself a member of the fashion community except for the fact I literally buy into it. So my point, or rather my question is: What becomes of the fashion community when they start transforming into the rest of lemmings that truncate vernacular and terminology as well as dumb down their audience? I am a firm believer in not taking fashion seriously but I don't know if this is missing the point. This truncation isn't the first and it is the only recent example that happened to inspire this whole post. So forgive me if this is long winded.

Every once and awhile a cub has to roar.

I cannot not get my hands on Annarks stuff. I need it just like I need the whole Beau Coops shoe collection. Imagine me with a closet full of Annark's wares and Beau Coop? I would be the luckiest girl.

Body candy

ph: unknown
Looks like jewelry welded to a bodice but in reality it is a belt and bustier. Still, I wish this could be translated to something more wearable in my head.

ph: unknown editorial
What happens when you find yourself with loads of jewelry? You wear it with your body suit.

See,

Urban Outfitters isn't that hipster. Now that I have tickled my funny bone I will say that I am not a big fan of URBN but...
AND THIS IS BIG: they are bringing in designers/ bloggers to do creations for them and that is a big step in the right direction. Ignore my previous bias, that was created when I went to a job interview there, BUY BUY BUY. Support bloggers.
Keep it goin'.

just sayin

Dree is my idol. Dree's new look makes me want to find a way to lighten my hair just a tad to throw everyone off. J. would have a fit though.

Vikto Vauthier has been a favorite for almost a year. I should list all his awesome photog qualities but you can see for yourself. He is very good at getting F-you out of the people he photographs.

Never in a billion years would i be able to pull of an olive parka and make it look feminine. Kudos to the woman shot by Schuman of the Satorialist.

Fashion Movie confidential

Fashion Movies!!! Everyone is talking about them now that The September Issue has been out for a few weeks. I have yet to see it but I will definitely peep it via streaming video soon. But what about the others that came before, the precursors to what has been known as a tiny glimpse into the glamorous, and dramatic, lives of fashion elite? Refinery 29 did all the work for me so I would not have to compile a boring list here. I am taking a chance to peruse the old favorites. And that is where this great thing called the internet comes in handy!

I am starting with Lagerfeld Confidential and working my way up the list. Expect screen caps for your little peepers to enjoy. I am not really into movie reviews so my opinions will be brief. I suggest anyone that hasn't seen any of the movies on the list to take some time out of your fashionable lives and check them out. I've decided to tag any and all things I set out to do on this blog or otherwise as mission just so that everyone can see how well I am (not) doing. Haha.

I'll be watching,

Joy D.

Keep it coming South Park

With South Park's midseason debut just 7 days away I am getting antsy on making my costume. I have been looking at costume photos to get a better idea of how this will work. Earlier in the summer I delighted everyone (two people) by saying I wanted to do a group Haloween costume with the theme being the South Park four. I couldn't find anyone cool enough so I must go alone into the relm of themed costume dressing. I have also been thinking about making finger puppets of the other characters.

Respect my authoritie!
