Yes Please!: Acnestudios.com SALE!

Doing a lot with a little is why I have always enjoyed Acne. The Swedish fashion house always impresses with clean lines and forms and stark colors. Only recently have their shoe collections caught the attention of fashionistas. They always amaze me with their refined sense of design and their refusal to bow down to typical trends of "chic" or "things that pop" or any of those other over used expressions in fashion. Bravo Acne for not boring me or the rest of the world. Right now, at this very moment, they are having a pretty big online sale. Go and buy things! I am currently saving up for New York (NYFW), and other exciting trips I can't discuss yet. So I would love to live vicariously through my  readers. Here is what I would love to have in my wardrobe. If you are wondering how I touture myself further, by window shopping please check out my Svpply.com profile. It is chock full of goodies!

Yes Please!: Charlotte Russe

Yep, and I will explain. I am a plus size-y girl with big feet and I never have problems finding clothes. One of these reasons is my never ending search for what will fit me. I could never say I have mastered this skill but I have gotten better. Another skill attained over the years is checking back at various e-stores. They always adjust to the times. This has a range of benefits including larger shoe sizes, a cleaner webpage, and collaborations! I am most excited about the former as I was looking at Lara's blog; http://www.mymilkglassheart.com. Thanks for this new/old resource. I used to shop Charlotte Russe back in the day and now I am reconsidering....a little. (all photos: charlotterusse.com)

The Shoes
While CR has upped their design game by actually hiring designers to create their looks some of the materials still look of poor quality. Overall it is a much bigger improvement than the Gap's attempt at a makeover.

The Rings
The rings range in sizes too. Now I know it sounds like I am fawning over CR and you would be right. When has a fast fashion/mall store made so many rapid improvements for the better?

Yes_Please: Omg Books

Tim Barber's Highschool
I am not far removed from this 4 years of turbulence and I like the way Barber captures it. He makes it seem bearable. You can find this at Oogabooga Store.

Bernhard Willhelm's Het Totaal Rappel
I have always loved the boundaries pushed by Willhelm. I have also enjoyed following his work grow through the years. It is weird I can say that about this artist because he is fairly young.  You can find this at Oogabooga Store.

Helmut Newton and Lewis Carrol photography files
The photo files published by Thames and Hudson are comprehensive and exceptional. I picked Helmut Newton and Lewis Carrol as my favorites. They were both fairly risque artists but I am a fan of how they conveyed that. Not a la Terry Richardson, I am starting to get over the high contrasted photography and tits (and Va-j-j).

Comment: If I had space in my crammed library I would buy these and much much more. It might be my priorities but I don't mind shelling out money for books that inspire me. I guess they feel more permanent to me.

Yes, Please: March: E-store shopping

 2. Slow and Steady Wins the Race_sandal wedge

3.Prose_silk dress

4. Spanish Moss Vintage_ summer fringe dress
5. Kanken_backpack in brick

                                                   6. Rike Feurstein_solange turban

How I love clothes and their shapes (and new ideas). I love old ideas too. And that is what I am loving right now. I have been scrap booking visual images in my brain of how I want my summer wardrobe to look. I am thinking FLOWY FLOWY FLOWY, with heels and sneakers interchanged. I want to be girly this summer. This was a long wish list. I only selected from Open Ceremony and Ooogabooga Shop. I can't wait to go thrifting more often. School has a way of messing with my fun. What are your picks for spring and summer?

Yes, Please: the Fashion Week edition

Albertus Swaneopel -for-Timo Weiland
It's that time again where I gush over the things I want.If you know me personally then you know that I love wrapping my head in fabric. I even have a Christian Dior turban I wear just about every week. I can't get a enough of them! Albertus Swaneopel does a great turban interpretation, a very loose version that I will probably sport all summer.

I am not a big fan of Alberta Ferreti's newest collection but leave it to Refinery29 to boost my benign interest by throwing in a Muppets reference. I hope you are aware that there will be a new Muppets movie coming out in the near future. I also hear Miss Piggy is being styled as Lady Gaga but it is probably a horrible rumor.

This is a plug, I repeat I am shamelessly plugging my etsy shop I have been working on starting in a year. It isn't that I have been compiling pieces per say. I have changed my vision for the shop a million times and have settled on picking vintage pieces that appeal to current trends or current inspirations I see in editorials. I hope to jump start it next Monday. Equipment failures set me back, gotta love business!

This is a recent party pic of Aurel Schmidt and Chloe Sevingy. I don't look up to them but I sure as hell respect what they do and how they carry themselves. Regardless of what the haters say they continue to do what they do.  It is a good lesson for the sheepish at heart like myself.

Not one, but two shots of my favorite look from Damir Doma. Words can't express. The layering of the grays and long silhouette. I am a long silhouette kind of girl. This collection, and some others from Paris Fashion Week, make me use lots of explatives!!!!

I cannot not get my hands on Annarks stuff. I need it just like I need the whole Beau Coops shoe collection. Imagine me with a closet full of Annark's wares and Beau Coop? I would be the luckiest girl.

What I'm into right now

cool models; it has nothing to do with the way they dress.
They always seem to be "on".
I like that.

Kirrily Johnston's newest lookbook.
Vamp but not in that cheesy Vampire/Twilight way (ugh)

Louboutin with jeans, more should do this.
Not me though.

One of my favorite new album covers.
Such good music.
Get at me if you want a listen.
Karen O. is slowly redeeming herself.

I'm too late for Latin. EDIT: Saved by the van.

Where the Furry Things Are

ph: annie bunny via some required

I did tell you I had a wicked new weekend job right? I won't bore you with the how or what but I am thinking about making some purchases in two weeks: boots?, medieval rings?, a bodice?, oh boy I am kind of salivating. I hope I can get lots of birthday monies to support this habit of buying things I have no monies for. My birthday is tommorow!

Ha, monies.

Belated Birthday Present to me.

I am putting in an order for these as soon as I get a paycheck from my weekend job. They are calling me and I want them. Beau Coops, how did you ever find the time to make shoes that called out to me, ME?! I enjoy the whole collection and I am willing to spend some serious bones on their shoes. I love you guys THIS much. My birthday is in 7 days! the countdown begins. My worry: I will be so exhausted from work and school I won't be able to party. My 21st might mark my transition into a tea drinking, wine sipping, black garb wearing, book reading intellectual but I doubt it.
