Yes Please: Style Stalker's Desert Fox Collection

As a sucker for sassy basics (yes sassy) I was pleased when Style Stalker's new look book landed in my inbox. Thank goodness Sue Ann and Rachel used the theme of desert biker. I was yearning for a better interpretation of this idea since that Abbey Lee Kershaw Pop Magazine cover. The feel of this collection is rugged but clean and definitely durable. The whole collection was mouth watering, maybe I was too transfixed on the desert theme. I selected a few of my favorite pieces all of which are now available on their site to purchase! If you couldn't tell, I am obssesed with their snakebite leggings.

Searching: a place to document style progression

An old "look" which a fellow blogger encouraged me to post more. That didn't work so well.

I am a big fan of reading blogs, even new ones. While reading Arash Mazinani's blog, a great find, I stumbled across this article about creating your own lookbook in order to organize your wardrobe. Now while that seems excessive I think Mazinani has a point. Searching for that "perfect" style is not the goal here. There is importance in building from your own experiences. Arash suggests to look to others style but I think I would much rather go solo and find my own way. Now all I have to do is wait for my nifty camera to arrive and snap, snap, snap! I guess all that is left is a membership at Chictopia or Lookbook.nu. Any suggestions?

Anka you are my homey from another country.

Anka has been making clothes for a long time. She always has the body in mind, everything has a close fit. I know she loves making clothes because if the weather is too hot she opts to make a new summer outfit rather than buy one. I have tried to keep the lines of communication open between us and I enjoy talking with her on occasion about her designs. I know she will be picked up soon as many bloggers have already gotten wind of her great talents.

After a little pushing she is finally selling her wares on Etsy! And although there are only a few pieces up expect some great things in the coming months. Recently she posted her Fall 2010 lookbook and I have already put a certain dress on my wishlist. If you are still in the spring and summer mood below is a few pieces from her Spring collection.
